An inlet guide vane damper, also known as a variable inlet vane damper (VIV), is a device that improves a fan’s performance and efficiency by pre-spinning the air before it enters the fan. This pre-spinning reduces the fan’s load by lowering the fan pressure, which in turn reduces the energy needed to run the fan. Inlet guide vane dampers can reduce the energy costs needed to run fans and increase fan life.
These are more precise in terms of controlling the flow. These are fabricated equipments and the Material of Construction will be generally Mild Steel and other materials like SS 304, SS 316 Can also given. These can be operated by Pneumatic Actuator or Electrical Actuators.
The Size range is from 500 mm to 3000 mm
