A Butterfly Damper is a valve which can be used for isolating or regulating the flow of Gases, Powders, Granules and other bulk materials. Butterfly Dampers are generally favored because they are lower in cost to other valve designs as well as light in weight. The disc is positioned in the centre of the pipe, passing through the disc is a rod connected to an actuator on the outside of the valve.

Rotating the actuator turns the disc either parallel or perpendicular to the flow.

These are available in circular, square and rectangular in shapes. For the higher sizes beyond 500mm multiple disc/flaps will be given so as to make it compact. These are called as Multi Louver Dampers.

The Size range is from 150 mm to 3000 mm with the variety of material of constructions ranging from Mild Steel, SS 304, SS316, Hardox and Special Alloys depending on the application.
